The 2018 elections brought many changes to Washington with Democrats now in control of the House and a solidified Republican majority in the Senate. A new Congress means a new opportunity to spread our message! One Voice will schedule meetings for all attendees, who will have the chance to meet with lawmakers and top aides to discuss how tariffs and a lack of qualified workers affect their business. The federal government plays an outsized role in manufacturing and the Legislative Conference is how we can educate our elected officials about the issues most important to our industry. Help bring common-sense solutions to Washington, D.C. by joining us for the 11th annual NTMA/PMA One Voice Legislative Conference on April 9-10, 2019.

Opening our night of interactive presentations will be Jack Burley of BIG KAISER. Jack Burley, vice president of sales and engineering at BIG KAISER, will present, “What You Need to Know About Tooling for Today and Tomorrow.” Jack has presented at several different chapters across the country and has been well received. Jack began his career with BIG KAISER more than 25 years ago, giving him a veteran’s perspective on the needs of the industry’s user base. His understanding has gone far in overseeing the management of not only BIG KAISER’s engineering team, but also the sales, marketing and product divisions as well. Burley received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from State University of New York at Alfred.

Our second presentation will be by East Coast Metrology,LLC. East Coast Metrology, LLC (recognized as ECM – Global Measurement Solutions), is a privately owned company delivering quality dimensional metrology, 3D Scanning and Modeling, Machine Calibration and engineering support services to a diverse range of industries at a global level. The company has experienced steady growth since it was founded in 2001 by Gary Confalone, current President and CEO.” Gary Confalone has been working in the metrology industry for the past 30 years and currently serves the Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) as Outgoing Chairperson and is an active member of the ASPRS/CMS Metrology Certification Committee.  Accompanied by ECM’s Quality Director, Lucas Prato, ECM will be presenting on the services they provide and the industries served.  Lucas came to ECM in 2005 as a degreed mechanical engineer with machine shop experience.  Lucas has been instrumental in ECM’s path to ISO 9001 Registration and ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation.  Together Lucas and Gary will present some of ECM’s high precision measurement capability with 3D Laser Scanning and Measurement demonstrations.

Our third presentation will be by Mastercam. Mastercam is preparing to release the new Mastercam 2020, we will learn about the new and innovative solutions that have been added to the software program enhancing your operational success.
